About the Studio
Everyone is born with a unique voice. One of the most common questions I’m asked as a teacher is “do I have the talent to sing?” It’s my firm belief that talent isn’t something we’re born with, it’s something we learn – but something we are born with is our unique voice. It’s my job to help you find that unique voice, and it’s my passion to help you find it in a fun, encouraging, and safe environment backed by the voice science to help you reach your vocal goals.

Who
Everyone and anyone willing to learn is encouraged at the Laura Kay Voice Studio. Students ages 12 through adult, from beginner to professional levels are welcome to join.
Laura’s students have performed on professional opera, musical theatre, choral, and concert venues around the world, have been featured in major television and movie soundtracks, and have gained entry to some of the best collegiate music and performing arts high school programs in the United States.
What
Laura encourages her students to explore many varieties of music in their learning – while her passion as a performer is opera, she specializes as a teacher in:

- jazz
- vocal health/rehabilitation
- audition preparation
- role preparation

Where
Laura runs her studios out of locations in the Washington Heights and Hell’s Kitchen neighborhoods of Manhattan in New York City. She also teaches remotely over Zoom. Whether in person in NYC or remotely across the globe, contact us to find the best method of study for you!
Rates & Scheduling
Lessons are scheduled at a mutually convenient time based on location and availability for Laura and the student. Most students find a time that will work on a weekly basis and commit to this time regularly. Lessons are billed on a monthly basis. Individually scheduled lessons are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
